Geoffrey Wheatcroft, DD, D.Phil, FSW[1] (called Jeffers by the Faceless Man) was an undistinguished practitioner, who got his staff in 1939. After World War II he started teaching theology at Magdalen College, Oxford.[2]

While there he started a dining club called the Little Crocodiles, including Jason Dunlop although records state they had no contact. He taught magic to some of its members.

He was the last known person to have borrowed Newton's Principia of Magic from the Casterbrook and probably stole it.[3]

He died two years before the events taking place in Moon over Soho. Postmartin and Nightingale attended the funeral.
