Vaughan is studying the effects of Hyperthaumaturgical degradation on the human brain through use of the Folly's collection of practicioner brains.
Doctor Jennifer Vaughan is a specialist pathologist from Newport in Wales. Currently she works with Dr.Walid at University College Hospital. She and Dr. Abdul Haqq Walid provide medical expertise on Folly-related cases.[1]
She originally studied internal medicine with the goal of being a medical doctor but found pathology more interesting. She was hired as the first stage in The Folly's expansion and modernization scheme that occurs during The Hanging Tree.[1]
Dr. Vaughn is dismissive of research on Hyperthaumaturgical degradation done by early 20th century Folly scientists.
