The Pale Lady was a mysterious woman of Fae origin who may have been magically altered by the first or second Faceless Man into a chimerae.[1] She had a vagina dentata, i.e. a vagina with teeth.[2] It is unknown if she was born with vagina dentata or acquired them through a magical process.[3]

She appears as a beautiful woman with long black hair, black eyes, pale skin, and very red lips. Ash Thames referred to her as 'a pale lady' and said she smelled like death. One of her victims, St. John Giles stated she appeared '...Kind of Japanese looking without being Japanese'.[2]

She attacked and killed Jason Dunlop and Jerry Johnson, and attacked and harmed St. John Giles, and Ash. Colin Sandbrow narrowly escaped being attacked, as the the Pale Lady began attacking Ash instead. The attacks on Johnson and Dunlop were ordered by the Faceless Man as acts of retribution for betraying him, but the attacks on St. John Giles and Colin Sandbrow seemed to be of her own volition.[4]

During Peter Grant's imprisonment in the Oubliette, Foxglove shows Peter a drawing of the Pale Lady.[3] She intimates to Peter that the Pale Lady is one of her 'sisters' (although it is unknown if this means biological sisters) and had—similar to herself—been held in captivity and under forced labor conditions by the first and second Faceless Man, and possibly other practitioners. Peter Grant later informs her that the Pale Lady was dead, causing Foxglove to fall into a depression.[3]
