Sequestration is the act of taking forcible possession of someone. The process removes the free will of the subject of while the possessor utilizes their body. The possessor is often a malevolent spirit such as Mr. Punch.

Sequestration appears to be an extremely dangerous magical process that can cause bodily harm and death to the individual being possessed. Lesley May stated that she was conscious during her possession by Henry Pyke, but was unable to prevent any actions. Aside from the possessor inflicting damage to the host's body by their actions, the host is also at high-risk of Hyperthaumaturgical degradation and related side-effects.
