The Hanging Tree is the sixth book in the Rivers of London series.


A drug overdose in a posh London flat turns out to have Falcon connections. Lady Ty asks for her favour in return, for saving Peter Grant's life (at the end of Whispers Under Ground). The Faceless Man returns.

A musician called Lol Robinson is mentioned. A character with the same name and occupation appears in the Merrily Watkins' books by Phil Rickman. The books deal with supernatural things in Herefordshire (just as Ben Aaronovitch's Foxglove Summer).
